We appreciate your visiting our website, and want to provide as much information
as possible. For the year 2001 we are offering many more models, colors, and
options, including electric bikes and trikes. We are adding to our dealer network
constantly and enlarging our production facilities.
Just a few words about the design philosophy behind the ZipCycle. We wanted to create
an engine-assisted bicycle that was reliable, easy to start, and easy to operate.
One that was light in weight, could still be pedaled if desired, and could fit in a standard bike rack.
But it would have to look like an old-time motorbike. Not with a motor perched
up high on the front wheel, or above the rear, for that matter. But an honest-to-goodness
real fuel-burning engine purring away down inside the frame where a motorbike engine was
meant to be! With all the controls up on the handlebars where they are instantly available.
The ZipCycles you see here at this site are the result of many, many miles of testing and improving.
The fun part of being here at the factory is we get to ride every day (most days, that is)
and talk to and meet folks from all over the globe who share our interests.
We're rapidly developing a full range of powered bicycles and tricycles, both
